Becoming generation J

Coming into work this morning on the tram, I was listening to a forum from Grace Cathedral (here) with David Batstone, who heads up the Not For Sale Campaign. He was talking about the various generational labels, Boomers, Gen X, Gen Y and so on, and called for us all to be Generation J, J for justice.

Justice. 27 million people in slavery, some 800,000-900,000 people trafficked each year. Add to that third world debt, the poorest who will suffer most due to climate change, to say nothing of the lies and deceit that seem part and parcel of politics in so many places. Oh to become Generation J.

Micah 6.8 “What does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
