Focus on foundation courses - 1st year.
Physics failure rates went down with introduction of exemplar outline for course.
Influence of academic leader was powerful - explain what they had done and how they had done it - more than just having the outline.
Costly project funding wise and lots of good will and enthusiasm!!!!! Resource intensive.
